Rotten Dog Sports Lodge

Rotten Dog Sports Lodge offers a variety of training options, including group classes and private lessons. Group classes provide consistent experience in sports such as barn hunt, scentwork, agility, swimming, dock diving, and indoor rat games. For those unsure which sport their dog will enjoy, “Try Its” are available as single lesson samplers.

Private lessons are offered every day of the week. Meghan teaches agility, barn hunt, scentwork, manners/obedience, and CGC skills from Wednesday to Saturday. Shannon teaches agility and dock diving any day of the week. Training programs include Agility Foundations, Intermediate Agility: Contacts & Sequencing, Barn Hunt, Nosework Foundations, Introduction to Odor, Advanced Nosework / Competition Prep, NASDA Rat Games, Beginner Swimming & Dock Diving, and Dock Diving Competition Prep.

Pricing Summary

Dog boarding rates are $40 per day for the first dog and $30 per day for each additional dog, with discounts available for multiple dogs, multi-night stays, and a 10% discount for military, firefighters, and police. Partial days are pro-rated based on drop-off and pick-up times.

Pool rental is $35 per hour on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (includes first 3 dogs) and $25 per hour Monday through Thursdays (includes first 3 dogs), with an additional $5 for the 4th and 5th dog. Packages for Monday-Thursday pool use are available: 10 hours for $200 or 5 hours for $100.

Group classes are generally priced at $160 per team for a series of classes (e.g., 4-week sessions). Private lessons for Barn Hunt and Nosework are $45 for 30 minutes (1-2 dogs) or $85 per hour (2+ dogs). Private Swim & Dock Diving lessons are $65 for 30 minutes, which covers an hour of pool rental. Pricing for private agility lessons is available upon contact.

Policies

For dog boarding, current vaccinations are required, including DPP (Distemper, Parvovirus and Para Influenza), Rabies, and Bordatella. A Veterinarian Certified Titer may be considered for DPP. All dogs must also be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.

For pool use, electric training collars, pinch collars, choke collars, or martingales are not allowed on dogs on the dock or in the pool. Food or dog treats are not allowed inside the pool area but can be given in the fenced area. For all classes and services, dogs must be current on vaccinations, as well as flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.

Rotten Dog Sports Lodge is a family-owned and operated dog boarding and multi-sport training facility located northeast of Atlanta, encompassing 4 acres. They aim to provide a comprehensive, personal approach to meeting the needs of all dogs and their people, treating every dog as a cherished family member.

A unique advantage is their small-scale, in-home boarding experience where staff is always on site 24/7, providing loving and attentive care. They also offer pool rentals for pleasure swimming, therapy, or dock diving, and are a National Sanctioned facility for Dock Diving.

Owners Shannon and Steve Renn are lifelong animal lovers who opened the facility in 2019 with the goal of providing fun activities for dogs and their owners. They also volunteer at local rescues’ fundraising events to encourage participation in dog sports.
