Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Balanced Training

RR Professional Dog Training & Boarding offers several structured training programs. The In-Kennel Training Program is a comprehensive, custom-tailored program ranging from 4 to 8 weeks, with advanced options up to 12 weeks. Dogs stay at the facility and receive three individual training sessions daily focusing on obedience, socialization, and behavior issues like resource guarding. This program includes two one-on-one sessions with the owner during the dog’s stay and two after the dog returns home.

The Day Care Training Program involves owners bringing their dog once a week for a full day of training. Sessions focus on obedience, impulse control, or behavior problems, alongside supervised dog-to-dog socialization. Dogs are housed in climate-controlled kennels and enjoy five outdoor play sessions daily. The Overnight Training Program is similar to the Day Care Training, but dogs stay overnight once a week, providing two days of training per visit over a 5-week period.

For dogs previously trained with RR, a two-week In-Kennel Refresher program is available. Dogs are trained twice daily on weekdays, and the program includes two owner training sessions. This can be used to advance training to off-leash or simply refresh learned behaviors. Additionally, Smart Boarding is offered as an add-on to regular boarding, providing training sessions during weekdays for active dogs or those continuing their training. Consultations are available to discuss specific training goals and customize programs.

How to Get Started!

To begin, clients can schedule a consultation with one of the professional trainers to discuss their dog’s needs and determine the best training solutions. A detailed “Tell Us About Your Dog” form is part of the initial inquiry process, gathering extensive information about the dog’s background, behavior, medical history, daily schedule, and training goals. For boarding, reservations can be made through PawPartner. For the Refresher program, clients are instructed to contact the business directly.
