Puppies are raised from birth using the BAB and Puppy Culture curricula, with daily handling, ENS, ESI, and exposure to household sounds, people, and objects. Potty training begins at 3 weeks using a grate system, and crate training is completed by 8 weeks. Puppies are introduced to basic commands and socialization before going home. Each puppy receives health screenings, vaccinations, deworming, and DNA testing. Owners receive a go-home bag and training records.

Ruby’s Cavapoos is a dog breeder and puppy raiser based in West Jordan, UT, that specializes in raising F1 and F1b Cavapoos with an emphasis on early training and socialization. They raise puppies in their home alongside children and other dogs, using the BAB (Badass Breeder) and Puppy Culture programs to implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), and structured exposure to sounds, surfaces, and environments. Puppies begin potty training at 3 weeks and crate training by 8 weeks, with many already knowing basic commands like sit and come when called. They provide a go-home bag with food, toys, and training records, and offer lifetime breeder support. While primarily a breeder, their training methods are integrated into puppy development from birth, making their puppies exceptionally prepared for new homes.

They do not offer traditional dog training services for existing dogs, but their puppy preparation program is designed to give new owners a head start in obedience, housebreaking, and socialization. All breeding dogs undergo DNA testing (via Embark or Animal Genetics) and health screenings including OFA hip, patellar, and cardiac evaluations, and ACVO eye exams. They provide a 2-year health guarantee for life-threatening genetic conditions.

They also operate a Guardian Home Program, where selected families raise puppies for breeding purposes with full support and expense coverage from Ruby’s Cavapoos.

Accomplishments

Prospective buyers must complete the Waitlist Application form on their website. Once submitted, Ruby’s Cavapoos will contact the applicant to confirm placement on the waitlist. Applicants are asked to provide preferences for gender, color, size, and home environment. Guardian Home applicants must also complete a separate application.
