Training begins with a free consultation to evaluate the dog’s behavior and environment. Following the consultation, clients engage in ongoing private in-home sessions tailored to specific goals such as leash manners, reactivity, socialization, or basic obedience. Training is structured around positive reinforcement and manual corrections, with ongoing tips provided on treats, toys, and equipment.

About the Trainer
Rue’s Dog Training is run by Skylar, a former Vet Tech with hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. She offers personalized dog training using a balanced approach that combines positive reinforcement with manual corrections. Skylar provides in-home training sessions and begins every client relationship with a free consultation to assess the dog’s behavior in a comfortable environment and create a customized training plan. She specializes in puppy training, leash manners, reactivity, jumping, biting, and socialization, helping dogs become well-behaved family members. In addition to training, she also offers dog walking services.
Skylar has successfully helped owners with rambunctious mixed-breed pups, anxious Australian Shepherds, nervous German Shepherds, and other breeds overcome behavioral challenges. Clients note her patience, expertise, and ability to turn fearful or unruly dogs into confident, well-mannered companions.
