About the Trainer

Ryker Dog Training offers effective and convenient solutions for dog problem behaviors, providing a comfortable and supportive learning environment for both dogs and their owners. They focus on personalized attention from knowledgeable trainers, helping dogs learn essential manners and socialization skills, and teaching owners how to reinforce these behaviors at home.

The business utilizes balanced training principles, adapting methods and tools such as food, slip leads, prong collars, and e-collars to best fit each individual dog and owner. Their pragmatic approach prepares dogs for everyday and unfamiliar real-world situations.

Ryker Dog Training also provides dog daycare services, which are exclusive to clients enrolled in their training programs. The facility features a well-lit, fully matted, and temperature-controlled training area, which is regularly sanitized with professional-grade cleansers to ensure a safe environment.

The team includes Melanie, the owner and trainer, and Brittany, the lead trainer and previous owner. The business was formerly known as Instinct Professional Dog Training before its name change in August 2017 and opened at its current Fresno location in March 2019.

How to Get Started!

Prospective clients are encouraged to review the Training page to familiarize themselves with the various training programs, details, and prices before contacting Ryker Dog Training. To enroll in Day Care, clients must complete an intake form that includes owner, veterinary, emergency contact, dog, health, and general information, as well as policies. After completing the Day Care Intake Form, clients should email Day Care to schedule their dog.

For other training programs, clients must register for a program before a scheduling email will be sent out. They also offer a general Training Questionnaire to be completed after registration. Day Care is an exclusive service for clients who have been or are currently enrolled in their training programs, and reservations are required for both Day Care and the Day Training Program.
