About the Trainer
The Salina Kennel Club (SKC) was established in 1956 and is a member club of the American Kennel Club. It is an organization run entirely by volunteers, serving as an information resource for members and the general population. SKC conducts AKC approved Dog Shows, sanctioned matches, and training classes, promoting the sport of purebred dogs.
The club is committed to helping owners train their purebred and mixed breed dogs, eight weeks and older, to become well-trained companions. They offer multiple sessions per year of puppy and basic obedience classes, with additional specialty and advanced obedience classes held at various times.
All classes are taught by dedicated volunteers who love dogs, with the goal of fostering a greater understanding between canines and their owners for a happier life together. In all obedience and agility classes, the owner is the primary trainer of their dog.
