Testimonials
What serendipity, that Megan should have launched her business at just about the same time that I found myself in desperate need of a daily dog walker! I honestly don’t know who’s happier that we found her, myself or my 2 dogs, who look forward to their outings with her as the brightest spot in their day. She’s trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, and seems to genuinely return my dogs’ affection; a real treasure.

Sandy Tails has been taking my dog Blu on hikes for two months now. Megan took time to get to know him and works on commands while on the trails so all the dogs in her care are safe. Blu takes a while to warm up to non-family members, but Megan won him over and he is eager to go with her when she comes to pick him up. We get pics from their adventures together and I get a jealous when I see how much fun he’s having without me! It is so nice to know Blu is getting exercise, socializing, and learning new skills with someone I completely trust. I would, without hesitation, recommend Sandy Tails K9 Adventures!

Our dogs have been with Sandy Tails K9 for four years and they love every minute! The dogs love their trips to the wooded paths for their romps, have been trained in recall and can run off leash when appropriate. Their health has improved, they have lost weight, but most importantly they are so happy to be with Megan and the crew. I highly recommend Sandy Tails K9!

About the Trainer
Sandy Tails K9 Adventures is a dog training business founded in 2015 by Megan and Josh Saucier, who are passionate about training dogs through structured outdoor adventures. They offer private and group training hikes that incorporate obedience commands like sit, wait, down, leave it, drop it, and recall in real-world environments with distractions. Their approach emphasizes safety, balanced dogs, confidence-building through enrichment, and strong leadership. They require a minimum of three days per week for group hikes to ensure consistency in training and socialization. They also provide 1:1 private training hikes with pet parent coaching, drop-in services for quick potty breaks and medication, pet-sitting, and overnight stays. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered (with exceptions for private walks). They believe training increases a dog’s ability to handle liberty responsibly.
The business is rooted in rescue experience, having co-founded Survivor Tails Animal Rescue and saved over 1,500 animals. Megan has over 15 years of experience in animal care, starting in EMS before transitioning fully to dog training. They treat every dog as part of their own pack and post daily photos to a private Facebook page for clients. Their training is delivered on trails and in natural settings, not in a facility.
They also offer grooming services through “Time to Pet” and partner with local pet stores for adoption resources, but do not breed or sell dogs.
Accomplishments

The business has maintained a small, personalized model to preserve quality and passion.
