Semper Amici Canine Training offers three main programs:

All Aboard & Train: This is an intensive board and train program designed to coach the owner while the dog boards with the trainers. The program focuses on building the dog’s confidence and new skillsets in various real-world environments such as home, neighborhood, parks, stores, restaurants, and vet offices. Owners receive ongoing support through the Hybrid Academy and 1-on-1 sessions with their instructor to ensure a smooth transition and continued reinforcement.

Hybrid Academy: This program provides 1-on-1 coaching designed to equip owners with the knowledge, technique, and experience to teach their dog new skillsets. It includes course content to guide owners in making significant progress and learning clear communication skills. The Hybrid Academy offers a highly effective support system with 1-on-1 time with an instructor and access to a Private Facebook Classroom, allowing owners to achieve progress at their own pace.

Puppy Prep (4×6): This program is for new puppy owners with pups less than 20 weeks (5 months) of age. It guides owners on the proper track to success, focusing on cultivating a mutually beneficial and rock-solid relationship. The program helps in creating bond, trust, leadership, and communication essential for a well-behaved and stable dog.

Semper Amici, meaning “forever friend” in Latin, reflects the everlasting bond between humans and canine companions, inspired by owner Jose’s background as a US Marine K9 handler. The business offers a Veterans discount, as well as discounts for current Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders. They provide comprehensive training solutions for various behavioral challenges, including leash pulling, reactivity, not listening, and jumping.

In addition to training, they offer pet boarding as part of their intensive “All Aboard & Train” program.

Accomplishments

Jose, the owner, Training Director, and Instructor, has over 18 years of dog handling and training experience. He began his career in 2006 after joining the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a Military Working Dog Handler and completed two tours of duty in Iraq with his K9 partner, Gris.

After active duty, Jose continued his career as a K9 handler and instructor on a private security contract in Indonesia, and later as an explosives detection canine handler for the Department of Homeland Security. He earned his certification as a Canine Training & Behavior Specialist from Starmark Academy, School for Dog Trainers. Jose also held the position of Training Director at a reputable dog training facility in Houston and is certified in the NePoPo® dog training system. The business is Veteran Owned & Operated.
