Testimonials

“I’ve left my German Shepherd – Hildi with Andy for one week so far and I can say as of now that with all of the tips Andy has given me, her temperament has changed completely. It’s almost like I’m dealing with a completely different dog. Leash training and jumping on people still needs a tad bit of work but I’m excited to get her back to Andy tomorrow to help her out even more. Thanks Andy”

About the Trainer

Shickle K9 is a dog training business owned by Andrew Shickle, with a team of trainers including Janna Blaydes-Enriquez and Stephanie Yoder. Their philosophy centers on building communication and understanding between dogs and their owners, rather than focusing on dominance or fear. They believe in teaching a “language” to dogs, emphasizing that each dog learns uniquely.

They aim to help owners understand their dog’s perspective and lead effectively, making life easier for both. The training focuses on practical, real-world results, enabling dogs to be well-behaved in various situations and enjoy more freedom.

Janna Blaydes-Enriquez serves as Operations Manager and Trainer, with a background in dog sports (detection, agility, obedience, tracking, protection) and experience rehabilitating troubled Dobermans, Malinois, and Dutch Shepherds. She is also a nutritionist, offering guidance on dog diets. Stephanie Yoder, another trainer, holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with a concentration on animal behavior and well-being from Purdue University, and has experience in temperament testing and behavior issue resolution at an animal humane society.
