They also provide “Lodge & Learn” (board and train) programs: a 2-week On-Leash course ($2,800) for foundational obedience, a 3-week Off-Leash course ($3,800) adding off-leash recall, and a 5-week Ultimate package ($6,000) for extensive off-leash control in various contexts. Additionally, Sirius K9 offers individualized programs for severe behavior modification, service dog training tailored to individual needs, and specialized K9 detection, protection, and man-training.

Marina Casanelles, owner of Sirius K9 LLC, is a highly experienced dog trainer dedicated to making a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners. She specializes in specialized training for dogs and their humans, focusing on real-life skills, house manners, proper social behaviors, and formal obedience.

Marina has a background working with “last chance” dogs, including those with extreme shyness and aggression, and has successfully provided them and their owners with opportunities for a better life. She also trains service dogs to perform a wide range of tasks for people with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and freedom.

Accomplishments

Marina Casanelles holds an A.A.S in Veterinarian Technology from St. Petersburg College and an A.A.A.S degree in Criminal Justice (2015). She is a certified Police K9 instructor and holds human remains and narcotic detection K9 certifications from a National Tactical Police Dog Association (NTPDA) evaluator. She also obtained FEMA certifications during her involvement with search and rescue.

Marina previously owned “One Lucky Dog,” a business specializing in dog behavior training and modification. She has volunteered for many years at Canine College, with St. Croix Rescue as a K9 team commander, with Washington Explorer Search and Rescue (SAR) with her K9s, and since 2013, with the Mukilteo Police Department. For over a year, she has been a trainer and Explosive K9 handler for K2 Solutions, Inc.
