Sit Means Sit Atlanta offers several training programs. The Day Training Program is for busy owners who want results without their dog staying overnight; dogs are dropped off at the facility for training during the day, and owners receive a personalized lesson in the evening. The Board & Train Immersion Program is designed for a well-trained, confident dog without daily time commitment from the owner, with dogs learning from certified professional trainers and owners receiving Leadership Transfer lessons.
The Puppy Foundation, or Puppy Camp, is for puppies 8–14 weeks old, starting with Private Lessons on potty training, crate training, and reducing nipping/chewing, then graduating to Day Train or Board & Train for “Big Dog Obedience.” AKC Classes for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Trick Dog titles are offered to build confidence, strengthen the bond, and set a foundation for lifelong obedience, requiring basic obedience as a prerequisite.
For clients only, Doggie Daycare is available Wednesday-Saturday, providing exercise, relieving boredom, and improving socialization. Small Pack Walks are designed for families who want to be involved in their dog’s training and benefit from group socialization, allowing dogs to work around other dogs and people in a small group setting as a follow-up to training programs.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
Each dog training program is custom-tailored, with costs determined after evaluating factors such as the dog’s age, temperament, previous training, and the desired goals of the owners. A free demonstration and consultation is offered to meet the family and dog, gain insight into unique circumstances, and develop a training plan. An accurate quote is provided after this evaluation, with no cost or obligation. A Heroes Appreciation discount is available for Police Officers, Rescue Workers, Military Servicemen, Educators, and Firefighters.
About the Trainer
Sit Means Sit Atlanta is a dog training franchise that serves Douglasville, Carroll, Paulding, Atlanta, Marietta, and surrounding Metro areas. They are behavior problem solvers, confidence builders, and transformation specialists.
They do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to training. Their programs are individually crafted to fit each dog’s personality and specific family goals. They offer unmatched obedience training to help with issues like jumping, pulling, and reactivity, aiming to help owners enjoy life with their dogs to the fullest.
Sit Means Sit Atlanta uses an attention-based dog training system developed by Founder and CEO, Fred Hassen. This approach often utilizes their customized Sit Means Sit Collar (remote electronic dog training collar) as a safe, adjustable “tap” or cue to gain the dog’s attention, especially in distracting situations. They pride themselves on maintaining a happy and relaxed attitude in the dogs they train.
In addition to training programs, they offer Doggie Daycare for clients and Small Pack Walks for group socialization and distraction training. They also provide a Heroes Appreciation discount for Police Officers, Rescue Workers, Military Servicemen, Educators, and Firefighters.
