Dog Training Methodology

- ✓ Balanced Training
Equipment:
- ✓ E-Collars
Day Training allows owners to drop off their dog in the morning and pick them up in the evening, with trainers teaching structure and enhancing the dog-owner relationship. Owners meet with a trainer after each session to review progress, and this program can focus on behavioral issues like separation anxiety, fear, or aggression. Group classes are included with Day Training programs.
Private Lessons incorporate the owner into the training experience, pairing them with a personal dog trainer to work side-by-side. These lessons are ideal for learning skills and techniques to reinforce at home and are also effective for solving specific behavioral issues such as aggression, fearfulness, or separation anxiety. Group classes are included, and private lessons can be conducted at their facility or in-home.
The Puppy Program is designed for puppies 8 to 15 weeks old, focusing on establishing strong obedience and social skills. This program lays the foundation for attention-based training, helps puppies overcome fears, and teaches fundamental basics, including house-breaking, kennel training, socializing, basic commands, and leash walking.
Group Classes are available once a dog has completed an individual training program (Day Training or Private Lessons). These classes provide a way to keep dogs socialized and allow them to continue training around other dogs, owners, and distractions. Current group classes are held on Tuesdays at 9:30am, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 9:30am, and Saturdays at 9am and 10:30am.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to work with our dogs on continued training. It is hard to…”

“I am so pleased and impressed with Sit Means Sit in general. My Aussie puppy did a three week board-and-train since my work schedule limited my ability to go to group classes. They were very understanding and did an excellent job of explaining every aspect of their training methods, their e-collar, and were very open…”
