Sit Means Sit offers a variety of training programs tailored to individual needs. Private Lessons provide one-on-one sessions with a professional trainer, focusing on customized training for specific skills or issues like aggression, barking, or leash manners, with owners actively participating. The Day & Train program, described as their most popular, involves dogs spending the day at the training facility with trainers to learn new skills, socialize, and refine behaviors, with owners receiving instruction at pickup.

Group Classes are available for clients who have completed a private training program, focusing on generalizing learned skills in distracting environments, advanced obedience, and problem-solving; starting in 2025, these classes will be open to everyone, with lifetime access included in training packages. They also offer Bite Prevention/Lunch and Learn programs for professionals to learn about dog behavior and bite risk minimization. Puppy Training includes AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy group classes and private sessions, covering housetraining, chewing, recall, and basic manners, alongside a Puppy Jump Start program for early foundation building.

For an immersive experience, Transformation University (Board & Train) is a 14-day program where dogs stay with experienced trainers in a home setting, receiving personalized attention and training for obedience, reactivity, behavior modification, and socialization. Only one board and train dog is taken at a time to ensure focused attention.

Testimonials

“We said YES! .. To keeping the dog. Our family acquired a high energy Australian shepherd into our already crazy home with two toddlers. We felt overwhelmed and defeated with the puppy’s resource guarding and reactivity issues when we brought him home. We were on the verge of rehoming him but sit means sit went above and beyond ensuring that we had all the skills that we needed to work with him. Now he’s almost 9 months old and he’s turning into a “good dog”. Thank you!”

“I can only say wonderful things about Mike and his team at Sit Means Sit. Everyone is so helpful and works as a team together and with their clients. If I ever have a question or problem with my animals they give me lots of advice and tools to resolve an issue. I go twice a week with my two German Shepherds and I can honestly say that Sit Means Sit is part of my family. I started my first GSD at 7 months and quickly realized how amazing this system really is, it truly works. When I got my second GSD there wasn’t a doubt in my mind about starting his training right away. I brought him in for a consult at 8 weeks and began lessons at 9 weeks. I now have two confident and obedient GSD’s because of this program. People stop me daily to tell me how amazing my Shepherds are. I always try to explain that Sit Means Sit is the real hero. No, I don’t have two naturally super obedient puppies, it takes hard work and dedication. Sit Means Sit has given me to tools and confidence I need to be a knowledgeable owner. It is because of my experiences that I believe Sit Means Sit is the best training system out there for people who want to have a better relationship with their fur baby. Go for a free consult and demonstration, and you will see right away your dog’s potential to be fantastic. Sit Means Sit’s purpose is to help you feel confident leading off-leash and build a lifetime relationship with your dog and your trainers.”

“This place is amazing! I have a 1 1/2 year old shepherd who was reactive to basically everything that moved. I had tried two other training companies in the area without seeing any progress before coming to sit, and it was the best decision I could have made! I did the 2 week immersion program and was very happy with the results! I have worked mostly with Audra and Mike who are both fantastic and you can tell they truly care about their clients and their dogs. We now go to group class every week and we love it! The cost may seem expensive at first compared to other companies, but you get so much more than any other place could give and it is worth every penny!”
