Dog Training Methodology
Sit Means Sit offers three main training programs: Board & Train, Day Train, and Private Training. The Full Immersion Board & Train program is designed for owners who lack time, providing comprehensive obedience training. The Day Training Program consists of full-day sessions where dogs are dropped off at the facility for expert trainers to work on obedience skills and socialization. The Private Training Program is tailored to empower pet parents to actively participate in their dog’s obedience journey, enabling them to effectively teach their canine companion.
In addition to these, they provide Behavior Modification Training for specific issues such as aggression, high anxiety/fear, high-distraction behaviors, off-leash training, reactivity, and socialization. Follow-up group training is available after one-on-one programs to ensure continued progress.
Testimonials
“This was the best decision my daughter and I made as it relates to the training of our pet. We had Matt F. as a trainer and we could not be happier with the results. From day one he was extremely transparent about what the training would entail and what was expected of us. He builds a relationship with each dog he trains and his top priority is what’s in the dogs best interest. He is easy to talk to and extremely helpful in problem areas. We have a large dog who is extremely reactive and with Matt’s guidance and training, we now have peace of mind. Keep in mind, with this training it takes commitment and repetition on the part of the owner to continue this program at their home in order for this to be successful. We are now looking forward to the group training that we have access to for the life of our pet and are excited to continue to work with Matt F. He is the best in our opinion. Thank you to all of the Sit Means Sit team!!”

“I am a veterinarian who came to Matt and Sit Means Sit with a very sweet but very unruly rescue Pitbull puppy named Bosley. Admittedly, I was in over my head with training, but I wanted to learn and be very involved in the training process. Through a lot of time, hard work and patience, Matt has helped me develop Bosley into an incrediblely well behaved boy – I commonly get strangers asking who I worked with for training! Matt’s training has also helped strengthen the bond between myself and my loveable little pup, I am incredibly grateful to their team. I recommend Matt and Sit Means Sit to any of my friends and clients!”
