Testimonials

We signed up for sit means sit because our dog was constantly pulling and sniffing on walks like we did not exist. We did a six week program with Ryan and Pat and we got way more than what we paid for they train very well with an E collar And just after six weeks, my dog can now heel, Sit, place, come, eye contact all on command. she was a shelter dog and we had her for a little over a half a year and they did change her in so many ways cannot recommend this company enough. They come to you for a one hour session once a week and let you do the rest. It was very affordable and Ryan and Pat are great people.

Sit Means Sit is absolutely incredible! We enrolled our dog in their training program and saw immediate results. The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about my pet’s progress. Oliver (our dog) has made remarkable strides in behavior and obedience thanks to their effective techniques. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking to enhance their dog’s training experience! I wish we knew about sit means sit sooner!

I came to Sit Means Sit in December 2024 with a 6 month old male Great Dane. I am very familiar with the breed, but this one was different than any others – he was stubborn, territorial, and occasionally aggressive during play or if he took possession of a pillow, blanket, or clothes. … In my time from December to June this dog has completely turned around. Today, he graduated and was able to run every command with minimal reminder from the field collar and worked without a muzzle.

About the Trainer

At Sit Means Sit Dog Training Minneapolis, professional trainers Ryan and Pat provide customized dog training programs designed to create happy, obedient, and confident dogs in the shortest time possible. They specialize in off-leash obedience and behavioral issues such as leash reactivity, aggression, separation anxiety, barking, and resource guarding. Their Day Training program offers advanced training without boarding, with daily sessions and group classes for owners to practice at home. Private Lessons provide one-on-one, hands-on coaching tailored to specific challenges, including puppy coaching for unvaccinated pups. Group Classes help dogs socialize and obey around distractions, fostering a supportive community of pet owners. The business emphasizes training both the dog and the owner to improve communication and long-term behavior. They serve the entire Twin Cities metro area and offer a free evaluation to begin the process.

Their training methods include the use of e-collars and field collars alongside positive reinforcement, with trainers emphasizing that dogs learn to associate the collar with work time and freedom when it’s off.
