Testimonials

Love this place my dogs are full of energy and even five mile walks don’t burn them out but every time they come home from boarding or day care they are spent!
Hugeeee shout out to there groomer, I have to crocodile wrestle them to do any grooming at home. Poppi is mouthy (in a non aggressive puppy way) and I’m very surprised she was able to get her mani pedi done today and they both are looking soo good!

I thank God that I have finally found the right place to have my puppies and the right people to care for them with respect. I also found some excellent trainers at Sit Means Sit. The facility is enormous, clean, and organized, and on top of that, the staff at the counter always seems to be happy and enjoying their work. My puppy’s trainer, Keeyan, was outstanding. He made an impact and changed our daily lives, so now things will run smoothly. Thank you, Sit Means Sit, for hiring an excellent candidate like our dog trainer, Mr Keeyan! This place has a positive attitude among its employees. I totally recommend this place to everyone!

We’ve been utilizing Sit Means Sit for the past 6 1/2 years and have had three dogs trained at their facility. Absolutely amazing what they can do with your Doggo. Boarding has also been simple. I know when I leave my dogs there that they will be safe and loved on. Don’t forget About their bathing department. I dropped my dogs off after three weeks in the mountains, very dirty lots of sap in their fur (golden, shepherd mix, and a pittie). Picked them up and they were absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend.

About the Trainer

Sit Means Sit Pueblo is a professional dog training business serving Pueblo, Cañon City, Salida, and surrounding areas in Southern Colorado. They offer a range of training programs including Board & Train, Day Train, Private Lessons, and Group Class add-ons, all designed to build obedience, socialization, and reliable off-leash behavior. Their unique approach centers on an attention-based training system developed by founder Fred Hassen, which includes the use of a customized remote electronic collar (e-collar) as a neutral cue—similar to a tap on the shoulder—to gain focus without pain or distress. They emphasize safe, balanced training that combines positive reinforcement with controlled cues to achieve long-term results. In addition to training, they provide pet boarding, dog daycare, and professional grooming services. Their facility is described as clean, organized, and staffed by caring professionals who offer personalized attention and ongoing support, including unlimited lifetime group classes after program completion.

They provide a free consultation and evaluation to tailor training plans to each dog’s age, temperament, and owner goals. Training begins at 14 weeks for puppies due to vaccination requirements. Their clients report dramatic improvements in behavior, reduced stress, and stronger bonds with their dogs, with many praising the staff’s professionalism, empathy, and commitment to dog welfare.

The business is part of a national franchise with 157 locations, ensuring standardized methods and quality control. They also sell dog training equipment and supplies through their online store.
