Testimonials
Amazing experience with South Paw! They transformed my dog’s behavior completely.
> Rosie (my service dog in training) has been training with Nova since we got her last September. She is still a puppy but with Nova’s help she has come such a long way. She treats Rosie with so much love and patience and works so hard to see not just Rosie, but all of the dogs succeed as well. I love training with Nova and can’t wait to continue and see Rosie succeed in the future.
Nova at South Paw is fantastic! She helped me find and train Reshi, my service dog. I cannot thank her enough. She turned my $1.50 shelter dog into an exceptional service dog. He never misses an alert, helps me walk and problem solves like a pro. He loves his job. Nova made training him accessible and incredibly rewarding. Training a 130 lb great dane could have been a daunting task. But Nova is creative and patient. She found ways to make training him accessible and went at my pace every step of the way. I can’t imagine my life without Reshi now. He is my constant companion. He has proven himself time and time again in all kinds of situations: Disneyland, cross country flights, concerts, weddings, the mall, the zoo, whale watching, museums, aquariums, the courtroom – you name it. He’s always a perfect angel. I’m so lucky to have him. And I wouldn’t have him without Nova. Nova is not only an excellent trainer but has also become a good friend. Thank you for EVERYTHING Nova!
South Paw is amazing. I went through the Service Dog training with Nova for my dog Matcha. Every part of the experience was great. Nova is extremely knowledgeable and very patient with both the dogs and their humans. I always felt supported, even when things were hard. Matcha is doing amazing in her service work. We love working with Nova so much we still go to training classes even though Matcha has graduated. Very highly recommend!
Cosmo and I have been getting trained by Nova for Cosmo to become a Service Dog. It has been over a year and our experience has been excellent. Nova is knowledgeable, patient, caring and understanding. I needed all of it as I was recovering from stroke. Today my dog Cosmo two years old is a Therapy dog already (thanks to Nova) and on way to be my Service Dog. I checked out many trainers before zeroing in on Nova.. no regrets!! If I had to do it again I would only go to Nova. She is God sent to Cosmo and I.
South Paw dog training is like no other. Nova is awesome at helping my daughter with her service dog. Our dog Charlie has been training to be my daughter’s service dog for a year and a half. The amount of time and patience that Nova has given my daughter is unbelievable. My daughter has special needs and Nova goes above and beyond to help her learn to navigate her service dog. He is almost finished with the Program but we will continue to train and attend classes when we can. Thank you South Paw (Nova) my family loves you!
Working with Nova has been such a rewarding experience. We started with basic obedience, moved into trick dog training, and eventually began service dog training and every step of the way, she’s been patient, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made training fun and built my confidence as a handler, while helping Morty grow into a well-mannered and focused dog. I’m so thankful for everything she’s taught us. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and knows how to bring out the best in your dog, she’s the one.
