About the Trainer
The Southern Colorado Kennel Club (SCKC) is an American Kennel Club (AKC) member club dedicated to the appreciation of purebred dogs and public education in all dog-related activities. They offer a variety of dog training classes year-round at their training center located at 715 North Grand in Pueblo, which has generous off-street parking.
Their instructors are volunteer SCKC members experienced in training and trialing their own dogs. The club emphasizes that all dogs, purebred or rescue, benefit from training, and encourages moving from basic obedience to active sports like agility, rally, or scent work to provide exercise, mental challenge, and strengthen the dog-owner bond. They also offer competitive training for AKC events.
SCKC is involved in the community, partnering with the Pueblo Humane Society, Pueblo Animal Services, Pueblo County 4-H clubs, and providing pet therapy in area hospitals and nursing homes. Their membership is diverse, with interests in many dog breeds and members from across southern Colorado, including Walsenburg, La Junta, and Canon City.

The Southern Colorado Kennel Club (SCKC) is a member club of the American Kennel Club (AKC). They are also proud members of the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Pueblo.
