Testimonials

We had a very good experience with Aztec. Ron took good care of our Cavapoo. Our puppy was a behavioral mess when we took him in, nipping, jumping and only obeying commands if we had treats, leading us around on walks and sleeping in our bed. My legs are full of scars from all the jumping and nipping! In addition to basic obedience, Ron got our dog reoriented to sleeping in his crate and resting in his crate during the day as needed. The obedience homework has been very easy because Ron laid the strong foundation and taught me how to do the daily training. He was good at communicating with us via text and posting videos on periscope of our puppy being trained. We have a much better behaved puppy who has not nipped at me once. Ron teaches you how to deal with behavioral issues and any other issues you are having. He has been in close touch with us since we picked up our dog. We are easing back in to life at home and are loving the outcome of our experience. We have a much more calm peaceful puppy. Ron knows dogs and understands what they need.

Ron is a wonderful trainer!! He has worked with 3 of my family’s dogs! They all have loved being there and been so excited if we ever came back for refresher courses (FOR US) not the dogs haha. He has worked with two of our puppies and when we came to pick them up were very well behaved sweethearts. On the other hand I have a husky poodle mix that is absolutely insane. Still is. But now we are able to have him listen to us. Before he would run around that house like crazy jumping on everything with anything he could get his mouth on. He would bark nonstop and would constantly be getting into the trash, jumping up on new people and was just a mess. After training with Aztec Dog Training he was much much MUCH more manageable! He knew lots of commands and would listen to us SO much better. I really do recommend Ron!

I’m so happy that I spent so much time looking for a trainer and found Ron (and Melissa). I took my Doberman puppy to them with high expectations which have been exceeded. They not only ensured that my puppy had proper obedience training but also educated me on how to continue her training more effectively than I had been. Not only that, they guided me on how to structure my dog’s day so that there would be more of a routine. They showed me how to establish a proper working relationship between my dog and me which has resulted in us both being even happier than we already were! This goes far beyond the heeling, sitting, down, stay, crating – all the basics which they showed me, because it has already had a positive impact on our life.

Ron and Melissa are superb trainers. In 2 weeks they successfully crate trained my stubborn, year old poodle. They used techniques that I can easily replicate at home to stop his jumping and whining. He is obedient and a pleasure to be around. He is no longer the bossy little pain in the butt dog! Truly amazing results! More importantly, Ron and Melissa provide love and positive encouragement not only to the doggies but to the owners as well. They responded to my inquiries quickly and gave me daily updates on my poodle’s challenges and achievements. My husband and I are very, very pleased! This was definitely a great experience and money well spent!

Ron refuses to refund our $1000 on services not met. He told me he was unable to do a credit card purchase for the services because he didn’t have a bank account set-up but would take full cash up front and now says “No Cash Refunds”. He was confident in his ability to potty train, stop excessive barking, and basic commands. Ron refuses to refund our $1000 on services not met. He was confident in his ability to work on BASIC training with our 15-week-old Great Dane puppy Cora. He informed us it would take 2-3 weeks based on her personality. During the first week, there was minimal communication on Cora’s behavior & training when Ron promised video updates. During the second week, we were sent a video. In the video, Ron is kicking our dog’s behind when she doesn’t sit and stepping on her pronged choke collar leash closer and closer to her neck dragging her down when she won’t lay down. This was the cruelest video I’ve ever seen. I quickly raised my concerns to Ron about her progress and his techniques. When this happened, Ron called my husband and was screaming, yelling and cursing at him. Telling us if we picked up our dog, we’d be doing him a favor. She is stupid. We are idiots for purchasing her. That if it wasn’t for him, we’d be getting rid of her. So, on and so forth. The lack of professionalism was appalling. Once he calmed down, we informed him we would be picking up out dog on Sunday (2 weeks). He said she needs a 3rd week because she is a knuckle head. He then requested and additional $450 for the 3rd week when he told us from the beginning it was a 2-3-week program based on the dog. When we arrived for pick-up his assistant sat chairs for me, my husband and my 2 children (3 & 5) next to trash cans swarming with over 200 bees. Then, when he came out with the dog to show us her ‘progress’ there was none. She still barely knew the sit, stay and down command. Then during his show of training, he continued to curse in from of my children. I grabbed the kids and waited in the car. I did not want them to hear his cursing, kicking the dog and dragging her neck down with the pronged collar. On Monday morning I texted Ron how upset I was with the delivery of services; his techniques and his lack of professionalism am that I wanted my $1000 back. He refused and sent me over 50 cruel text messages in a row. Moreover, his facility is atrocious. It’s unsanitary to say the least, it’s falling apart, it smells like months of pee and poop that have been sitting there. When you walk in you see the cot he sleeps on and his free-standing wardrobe rack. It is absolutely disgusting.
