“We have 3 dogs that are amazing but are also a lot of work. We’ve boarded our dogs with Joseph in the past and it’s always been a great experience. Our oldest dog started having panic attacks (probably as a result of Covid-19 quarantine stress) so I reached out to Joseph for help. We just completed a 6 week training program and can’t believe how far we’ve come! I say “we” because my husband and I were the ones who needed most of the training. “Joseph went above & beyond to help me with my 8 month old golden retriever puppy, Boone. Boone stayed with him for two weeks for a board & train. I was amazed to see the progress in my pup when he came home. He walks right beside me on the leash & doesn’t pull anymore. He follows me & my direction, rather than me doing what he wants. He goes to his place & will stay there for 20 minutes to 2 hours, eat at his place & wait until I tell him to come. His energy level has lowered immensely. He does not command bark anymore either. “I found Starr Dog Training Dallas on Yelp and decided to reach out to help train my dogs against aggressive behavior and for obedience training. My dog Jackson is almost 5 years old. He’s a rescue and comes with a lot of anxiety issues. I have had him with me for three years now. He always has had anxiety issues like pulling on the leash, walking away from me when I call out to him, not looking into my eyes at all, and aggressive behavior at dog parks. Working with Joseph has been a real pleasure. Right from the initial interaction, where he visited us for more than an hour long session, we’ve been super impressed with the progress that he’s made with Jackson. Jackson immediately responded to his leadership and we decided to get some obedience training for Jackson from Joseph. Throughout the training, Joseph was very comfortable to reach out to and was always communicating the progress with us. He would regularly send us images and videos of Jackson’s progress. We were super happy to constantly see Jackson improving his discipline and obedience forms. My dog has never sat in the car. He would always stand up on his two feet and whine constantly. Joseph had even trained our dog to sit comfortably in the car without whining. At the end of two weeks Joseph brought over our dog Jackson and even gave us a demo of all the discipline and obedience Jackson has absorbed during this time. We now understand some of the strict dog parenting rules – How to discipline your dog or how to exercise your dog in order to get the affection that you want. I have had three dogs in my life so far and I thought it was easy to train dogs by myself but without Joseph’s help it would’ve been impossible to train Jackson because of his anxiety issues. I would highly recommend Joseph and Starr Dog Training to anyone that’s looking to train their dog.
