Testimonials
“I cannot recommend this place enough! I think this place is a great start to new puppy parents, and as a solo puppy mom raising a Doberman, I was glad to be in the right place. Before training, my puppy was afraid of strangers, hated the vet, did not like to be touched, and had cautiously approached every environment. Now she has built her confidence, she’s not afraid of strangers and can confidently walk into the vet!”
– R. VEE & BLU
“We absolutely loved our time with Believe in Dog. Their program is incredibly thought out when it comes to training and socializing your dog. I appreciated how attentive and loving all of the trainers are, even during the busy pick up times they never dismiss any questions or concerns you have about training at home and always lend advice.”
– ERICA BANDA & BUTTERS
“Believe in Dog is the best thing we have ever done for our dog and for ourselves as dog owners. It changed our lives forever. Our dog, Theo, is a rescue with an unknown history and was a nervous and timid boy. They specialize in puppy socialization and enrichment, but they can also assess your situation and pup and offer sessions for reactive pups and confidence building classes like nose work and doggie fitness!”
– CHRISTINA VU & THEO
About the Trainer
Believe in Dog is a Houston-based dog training center founded by nationally recognized trainer Stephanie Bennett, offering positive, science-backed training services designed to strengthen the bond between dogs and their guardians. They provide private training, group classes, and specialized programs for puppies, adolescent and adult dogs, and reactive dogs, all conducted in a Zen-like indoor and outdoor facility in the Heights. Their approach focuses on kindness, connection, confidence, and understanding, avoiding dominance-based methods in favor of relationship-based, reward-driven techniques. They also offer Puppy Day School, Enriched Doggie Day Care, and a retail boutique for pet supplies. Their team includes certified trainers who provide personalized support, virtual lessons, and in-home sessions (with travel fees), making training accessible to a wide range of dog owners.
The center is known for its expertise in behavior modification, including leash reactivity, fearfulness, resource guarding, and socialization. Stephanie Bennett, known as the “Puppy Whisperer,” has been leading the program since 2008 and is frequently featured in local media like Houston Life.
Additional services include renting their front yard for dog play, behavior questionnaires, homework assignments, and scholarship opportunities for those in need.
