Accomplishments

Nino Drowaert is a 20-year veteran of the Antwerp Police Department (APD), having served eleven years as a K9 trainer and handler, and five years as the Nationally Certified Head Trainer and supervisor of Belgium’s largest police K9 Unit. He was the first European police instructor to teach his unique training system to law enforcement and military, including the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Special Air Service Regiment and Second Commando Regiment.

His certifications include Mondio Ring Decoy (2009), Specialist and Instructor in Violence Control without a Firearm (2011), and National Police K9 Instructor with Honors (2012). He was promoted to Team Leader of the Antwerp Police Department K9 Unit in 2013 and was a finalist at the NVBK Belgian Ring Championship. In 2016, he founded STSK9 and was commissioned to New York, USA, for Dynamic Explosive Dogs Assessment for the Department.

In 2017, he transitioned to operating STSK9 full-time, embarked on a World Training Tour (2017-2019), and established STSK9 Online University. He collaborated with Professor Marc Debisschop to develop the scientifically validated “Talent Scan” for dogs and handlers and the “Master View Path,” launching the certification program in 2021. In 2022, he was a Keynote Speaker at the International Association for Canine Professionals on talent development.
