STUNT DOG ACADEMY

Stunt Dog Academy offers dock/pool rental and dock diving lessons and workshops. Dock diving lessons include “Basics & Dock Introduction,” which teaches dogs to safely find the ramp and get back on the dock, and encourages them to jump off the dock to retrieve toys using positive training methods. Advanced lessons focus on improving timing, consistency, tracking, and making catches off the dock for competitive dogs. They also provide therapy pool rentals for canine rehabilitation or for older dogs with arthritis.

Pricing Summary

Dock & Pool Rental is available by appointment from 10am to 8pm. A 30-minute private rental costs $30.00 for up to two dogs, with an additional $10 per dog from the same owner. A 1-hour private rental is $45.00 for up to four dogs from one household, with an additional $10 per dog. A 1-hour private rental for two households is $65.00 for up to four dogs, with an additional $10 per dog from the same house. Group rentals for two households (2 hours, up to 6 dogs) are $95.00, and for three households (2 hours, up to 8 dogs) are $125.00.

Therapy Pool Rental is $50.00 for a 30-minute supervised session, and doggy life vests can be rented for $10. Dock Diving Lessons & Workshops are also offered. A 50-minute private “Dock Diving Basics & Dock Introduction” lesson with Terry costs $70.00. A 30-minute private “Dock Diving Private Lesson” with JJ Bowen is $60.00. An “Advanced Dock Diving” private lesson with JJ Bowen (45 minutes) is $80.00.

Stunt Dog Academy is owned and operated by husband and wife, Chris and Suhey Perondi, who are famous dog trainers. They offer dock/pool rental and dock diving lessons and workshops. Their facility features a 44-foot custom-crafted dock with an easy on-ramp and soft turf.

They also provide a therapy pool rental for dogs rehabilitating from injuries or older dogs with arthritis, emphasizing that swimming is great therapy and exercise. Owners can get in the pool with their dog, and doggy life vests are available for rent. Supervised sessions are provided for safety.

Chris and Suhey Perondi have been featured on numerous TV shows, including Ellen, Oprah, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Queen Latifah Show, NatGeo Wild’s World’s Greatest Dogs, the CW’s World Dog Awards, and Univision’s Sabado Gigante. They have performed at events like the Rose Parade, NFL half-time shows, and major theme parks. Chris Perondi started the first disc dog club in Northern/Central California in 1998 and created the world’s first “Stunt Dog Show” titled the Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show.

They specialize in training dogs for various dog sports such as Dock Diving, Frisbee, Agility, Flyball, High-Jumping, Weave Pole & Barrel Racing, Ball launching, and their Stunt Dog Triathlon. They also train dogs to perform incredible stunts, tricks, and advanced behaviors like jumping rope, handstands, backflips, hoops, and skateboarding. They are co-authors of the award-winning book “The Big Book of Tricks for the Best Dog Ever.”

They performed on a moving float in the 2014 Rose Parade.

Chris Perondi established the first disc dog club in Northern/Central California in 1998 and created the “Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show,” producing shows for NFL half-time events, major theme parks, zoos, and fairs. His dog “Extreme Pepper” won the Incredible Dog Challenge in 2000. They are also co-authors of the award-winning book “The Big Book of Tricks for the Best Dog Ever.”
