Sublime Canine’s goal is to strengthen the relationship between every dog and owner by providing top-level obedience training, knowledge for difficult behaviors, and effective communication tools. Their training method is scientifically based on operant and classical conditioning, emphasizing positive reinforcement, consistency, and fairness.

They customize training programs for each client and dog, using up-to-date, science-based techniques to make training fun, solve or prevent behavior problems, and offer unique opportunities. Services include private lessons, group classes, Rattlesnake Avoidance workshops, and seminars in Obedience, Tracking, and Schutzhund. Online dog training courses are also available through Leerburg University.

Sublime Canine is a dedicated dog training business founded in 2004 by JJ Belcher, a certified professional dog trainer since 2000. The team, including administrator Traci and trainers Elisa and Tamison, is passionate about strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners. They offer comprehensive dog training and behavior management services.

They were also selected as instructors for Leerburg Online University in 2016. Beyond training, the team volunteers thousands of hours at local animal shelters and provides service dog training for military veterans through the 1 Veteran Foundation.

Accomplishments

JJ Belcher was certified as a professional dog trainer by 2000 and opened Sublime Canine in 2004. He has been a mentor for the Animal Behavior College, coaching students certifying to become dog trainers since 2012. Elisa is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and Tamison is a skilled Canine Behavior College certified trainer.

The entire Sublime team actively competes with their personal dogs in multiple disciplines of dog sport, including AKC Obedience, Rally, IPO (Schutzhund), Barn Hunt, Flyball, Herding, Ringsport, Tracking, Nosework, and Dock Diving, having won regional, national, and world championships. In 2016, Sublime Canine trainers were selected as instructors for Leerburg Online University. The team has also logged thousands of hours of volunteer work at local animal shelters and provided ten service dogs to military veterans through the 1 Veteran Foundation in their first year of partnership.
