Since 2008, Barbara has served as a mentor for ABC students. She is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (Evaluator Number 35267) and is involved with AKC’s S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.

Barbara is a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), The International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), and The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). She also volunteers her time with The Homeless Hearts Dog Rescue of Somerset County and the Schipperke Rescue.
