Tactical K9 offers a range of training programs including Puppy Program, Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Reactivity/Aggression, Behavioral Modification, Service Dog, Therapy Dog, Group Classes, Personal Protection, and Executive Level Protection. The Puppy Program focuses on socialization to help puppies acclimate to various sights, sounds, and smells. Basic Obedience covers commands like sit, down, heel with auto-sit, come, and polite greeting, along with household manners and socialization.

Advanced Obedience builds on basic skills, focusing on off-leash control around distractions in public environments. Reactivity/Aggression and Behavioral Modification programs address underlying issues such as anxiety and aim to fundamentally change a dog’s reactions to situations, people, and things. Service Dog and Therapy Dog programs are customized, with temperament assessment conducted for service dogs.

Personal Protection dogs are trained to protect on command, while Executive Protection dogs react on command or automatically if the owner is threatened, and are highly socialized to adapt to changing environments. They also offer comprehensive Police K9 training, partnering with law enforcement departments to provide dogs and K9 team training. This includes problem-solving for existing K9 teams in areas like Tactical Obedience, Odor Detection (Narcotic/Explosive), Apprehension, and Tracking. They also sell Full Service K9, Dual purpose K9, and Single purpose K9 dogs.

About the Trainer

Tactical K9 is a veteran-owned and operated small business dedicated to dog training. They provide exceptional obedience, protection, and detection training to dogs and their owners. Their mission is to build balanced, obedient, and social companions for the community.

They emphasize that while dogs are bred with a purpose, not every dog can fulfill that purpose without proper training and genetic aptitude. They also encourage owners to explore various sports and activities with their dogs, as some may excel in areas they weren’t initially bred for.

In addition to training services, Tactical K9 operates a shop offering various dog products, including beds, food, e-collars, kennels, leashes, and pinch collars. They also run a kennel where puppies, green dogs, and trained dogs are available for sale.
