Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
Tail to Tail Training focuses on taking on the time-consuming, foundation-building work of dog training, while also teaching owners how to maintain their dog’s training for the best results. They customize training plans to fit individual dog’s needs. The programs include initial training, followed by maintenance classes and ongoing support to ensure long-term success. A board and train program is offered, as highlighted by a testimonial where a dog stayed for this intensive training. Monthly follow-up classes are also available to help owners stay accountable with at-home training.
Testimonials
“I’ve been so impressed with Tail to Tail training. They took my unruly big dog Calvin and used positive reinforcement to transform him into a wonderful member of the family. They not only work with the dogs, but with the owners to teach them how to maintain their dog’s training. They are also available after training for maintenance classes and any questions you may have. I highly recommend Christine and Toni for your training needs, my dog and I love them!”

“After the passing of our 11 year old Weimaraner we decided that it was time for another dog. In 2015 we adopted a Weimaraner from an individual. We had no idea what we were getting as we had to trust what the owner had disclosed to us. We had to teach Nalu basic obedience. He became very pushy and developed separation anxiety.
We sought out help and Tail to Tail was highly recommended by the store where we purchased his dog food. After an evaluation, it was recommended that Nalu stay for the board and train. Nalu came home a new dog! We learned that he needed a mental outlet to help balance his mental state. We built him an agility course and played lots of mental games.
Since then we have added two more dogs to our pack. Keoki and Princess Kalani Kai have both been through the training program as we were so impressed with the transition with Nalu. Thank you to Christine and Toni for your dedication and expertise. We appreciate all that you do!
We have used Tail to Tail training since 2015. Our 3 Weimaraners have gone through the training program and passed with flying colors! We love the monthly follow up classes that you offer to hold us accountable in our at home training! Thank you Christine, Toni and Staff for all that you do! We value your dedication and expertise.”

About the Trainer
Tail to Tail Training is a dog training business based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to helping frustrated dog owners achieve a more stress-free life with their canine companions. They specialize in addressing common behavioral issues such as lack of manners, leash pulling, running off, excessive barking, and reactivity towards other dogs, cats, cars, or people. The business aims to foster less frustration, enable enjoyable walks, ensure reliable off-leash recall, and improve communication between dogs and their owners.
The team, led by owner Christine Schnitzer, includes Toni Martinez and Joseph. Christine’s journey into dog training began with rehabilitating her own severely human and dog aggressive dog, Pup, making her uniquely empathetic to owners’ struggles. She is highly regarded in the field, regularly assisting other dog trainers with complex behavior cases and sought after for her expertise nationwide. Toni brings enthusiasm and specializes in working with puppies and smaller dogs, while Joseph also joined after successfully training his own challenging dog.
Tail to Tail Training takes on the majority of the time-consuming, foundational training work for the dogs. However, owner participation is crucial, and they provide comprehensive instruction on how to maintain the training results. They also offer ongoing support through maintenance classes and are available to answer questions after the initial training period. The business has been operating in the Houston area since 2011, having successfully trained over 1000 dogs and their families. They are trusted by various pet care facilities and organizations, including Pasadena Animal Shelter, Gulf Coast Bull Terrier Club, Family Animal Hospital Friendswood, and the Brazoria County District Attorney.
Their promise to clients includes respectful communication, a commitment to creating significant positive changes in the dog’s behavior through hard work, fostering an easier and more enjoyable day-to-day life with the dog, and ensuring the training process is fun. They offer customized training plans and follow a simple three-step process for engagement: clients fill out a contact form, the team discusses a tailored plan, and then they work together to achieve a long, happy, and healthy life for the dog and owner.
