About the Trainer
Tail Waggin’ Adventures Training Center is a dog training facility located in Pullman, WA, founded by Renee Piper and Susie Gormsen in 2017. They offer a full range of dog training services including group classes, private lessons, board and train programs, and day training at their dedicated training center on Airport Road. They also provide daycare, boarding, and grooming services at a separate location on State Route 27. Their training programs are designed for all life stages, from puppies under 6 months to adult and senior dogs, with specialized classes for reactivity, confidence building, therapy dog preparation, agility, and AKC Canine Good Citizenship. They emphasize positive reinforcement and personalized attention, with staff who help owners continue training at home. Their facility is equipped for structured training and offers enrichment activities like treadmill sessions and puzzle toys. They do not require spay/neuter status and accept dogs of all breeds and sizes as long as vaccines are current.
They offer puppy playtime on Wednesdays and Fridays, and their training center accepts dogs with behavioral issues on a case-by-case basis. Clients can schedule evaluations for advanced classes, and all services require completed forms and up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella.
The business operates two locations: one for training and one for daycare/boarding, allowing seamless integration of training with daily care. Their team includes experienced trainers like Elijah, who are noted for patience and building dog confidence.
They also offer e-collar training, equipment fittings, and home visits for additional support.
Accomplishments
Offered AKC Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog Preparation classes. Clients report success in agility trials and behavioral improvements, including reduced reactivity and increased confidence in dogs with anxiety or loss-related trauma. Staff are noted for consistent progress with challenging cases.
