Tailored Training Canine Academy offers a structured progression of public group classes, each consisting of a 6-week course with 1-hour lessons. The Puppy Class is for ages 10 weeks to 6 months, covering basic foundation cues and puppy manners like sit, down, focus, wait, and loose leash walking. The Beginner/All Ages Class is open to all ages, focusing on similar basic foundation cues and manners.
The Intermediate/Reliability Class builds on foundation behaviors, skills, and manners by adding distractions and challenging scenarios to enhance reliability; a prerequisite is completion of Puppy/Beginner Class or demonstration of required skills. The Advanced Course further builds on previous cues, adding advanced skills and behaviors for complex real-world settings, with the Reliability Course as a prerequisite. Class sizes are limited to 7 dogs for Puppy/Beginner and 6 for Intermediate/Advanced.
Private lessons are available at their location or in-home/alternate locations, tailored to specific needs. Boarding services involve overnight stays with a trainer in their home, requiring an evaluation for suitability. The Board & Train program involves multi-day overnight stays with a trainer, including multiple one-on-one mini-training sessions daily, distinct from daycare. They also provide evaluations for CGC, CGCA, CGCU, Trick Dog, and Virtual Home Manners.

How to Get Started!
To get started with Tailored Training Canine Academy, clients are encouraged to fill out the contact form on their website. For classes, it is helpful to specify desired days, times, and the specific classes of interest.
For boarding and board & train services, each dog must undergo an evaluation to determine if they are a good fit. Before the first appointment or class, clients must provide proof of required vaccination records and ensure their dog has a form of identification. Clients should bring plenty of small, pea-sized treats (if the dog is food motivated) and favorite toys (if toy motivated), along with a leash, collar, and/or harness. Acceptable collar types include flat buckle, martingale, slip/choke, or prong/pinch, though the academy strives to train without choke or pinch collars. Flexi leads are not recommended. Children attending must be supervised and under control at all times. A training contract and liability form must be filled out and signed at the first appointment or class.
