Texas Dog Ranch

Texas Dog Ranch offers three main training programs, all conducted as overnight, immersive stays.

The Gun-Dog Training is a 30-Day, All-inclusive program designed to cover all hunting commands. This includes “gun breaking,” “whoa,” “flush,” “healing,” “marking,” “pointing,” and water retrieving.

Basic Obedience is a 14-Day program that introduces fundamental obedience commands using verbal cues and hand signals. Commands taught include SIT, STAY, HERE, DOWN, and HEAL. Owners will receive tools and instructions to continue reinforcing the training at home.

Advanced Obedience is a 30-Day program that provides extensive training to cover all obedience commands with hand signals. This program includes SIT, STAY, HERE, DOWN, HEAL, OFF, RELEASE, LEAVE-IT, and KENNEL.

Pricing Summary

Pricing for asocial overnight boarding and daycare is per night, per dog. For all training programs and special accommodations, clients are advised to email devinetexasdogranch@gmail.com for a tailored quote. Information on bird packages and pricing for guided hunts can be obtained by calling (830) 486-5161. A ten percent (10%) discount is available for first responders, military personnel, and senior citizens. Payments are accepted via cash, check, and card upon check-out.

Policies

For the health and safety of all dogs, current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (1-3yr), and an annual Bordetella are required. If vaccinations are new or lapsed, a seven-day waiting period is mandatory before entering the ranch.

Holiday cancellations require a two-night minimum stay and seven days’ prior notice to avoid a fee. A “Holiday Period” is defined as three days before and three days after an actual holiday (Spring Break, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Cancellations or no-shows within this seven-day window will incur a 50% reservation fee, which must be paid before booking another stay.

Non-holiday cancellations require notice at least forty-eight hours prior to the reservation date. Cancellations or no-shows within forty-eight hours will result in a 50% reservation fee, which must be paid to book future stays. Females in season cannot be accepted for special accommodations.

Texas Dog Ranch is a premier destination for dog lovers, offering daycare, boarding, obedience, and gun-dog training services. Their team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing quality dog care, ensuring a healthy, fun, and safe stay for dogs.

Boarding services include climate-controlled play and rest areas, outside play and potty time, playtime with dogs and Canine Caregivers, and daily photo updates. Special accommodations are available for asocial pups, including intact dogs over one year old, non-social, introverted, or disabled dogs, on a case-by-case basis after evaluation. These special accommodations may include Asocial Overnight Boarding and Asocial Daycare.

In addition to training and boarding, Texas Dog Ranch provides guided upland hunts, which can be conducted at the client’s ranch or at La Presa Ranch in Southwest Texas near Uvalde. These hunting packages include hunters, various bird packages (Quail, Chucker, Pheasant, Pigeon), a guide, dogs, and game processing. Corporate and private groups are welcome for hunts.

How to Get Started!

To make a reservation, clients should email DevineTexasDogRanch@gmail.com with their requested dates and attach a copy of their dog’s current vaccination records. Alternatively, veterinarians can email the records directly, including the owner’s and pet’s names in the email title. Upon receipt, Texas Dog Ranch will send a Boarding Agreement for completion. The booking is confirmed only after the vaccination records and completed agreement are received, and a confirmation email is sent.

Upon arrival at the ranch, clients are asked to remain in their vehicle and text approximately twenty minutes prior to arrival for pick-up or drop-off. A Canine Caregiver will then greet and guide them. It is recommended that dogs attend at least one day of Daycare prior to an extended stay to help them acclimate and feel more comfortable with the Canine Caregivers.
