About the Trainer
The Beauty of Dogs offers rewards-based training programs designed to enhance the human-canine bond through teamwork, fostering shared love, trust, and respect. Their approach focuses on creating long-term behavioral changes rather than temporary fixes, providing comprehensive resources to support the “whole dog” through a network of professionals. The business emphasizes transparency and delivering effective solutions to client challenges.
Rebecca Gamez, the owner and head trainer, has a deep, lifelong connection with dogs, having started training at age 11. Her primary goal is to offer clear instruction that strengthens the bond between dog and owner, addressing the dog’s overall well-being beyond just problem behaviors. She strives to facilitate clear communication and mutual understanding between dogs and their owners, enabling them to achieve their shared goals.
Programs provide individual attention and personalized coaching, aiming for quick results. They are tailored to achieve specific outcomes, eliminating the need for clients to upgrade or re-enroll. The Beauty of Dogs works with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and backgrounds, from young puppies to older rescue dogs, and supports both novice and experienced dog owners.
Accomplishments
Rebecca Gamez, the owner and head trainer, began her training journey at age 11 by enrolling her West Highland White Terrier puppy in obedience class. She continued attending classes with various dogs and trainers throughout her childhood and into adulthood. Her experience includes raising puppies, fostering for rescues and shelters, and assisting veterinarians. She has personally owned 17 dogs across nine different breeds.
Over several years, Rebecca has extensively learned from experienced and successful experts in the dog world, including trainers from various disciplines, behaviorists, veterinarians, nutritional experts, and holistic practitioners. She has accumulated hundreds of hours of learning through live instruction, hands-on practice, video presentations, written studies, and by teaching both owners and fellow professionals.
