Dayschool is an on-site alternative to overnight training, providing up to 12 hours of training sessions and structured socialization daily. It focuses on the Five Core Cues (Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place) and remediates behaviors like jumping, door bolting, and loose leash walking. The program maintains a maximum of 6 dogs per day, ensuring ample space, safe regulation, and frequent napping periods. Monthly memberships and punch cards are available, with optional add-on activities like Brain Games, Parlor Tricks, Solo Play, Nature Hike, Urban Adventure, and Summer Splash. Limited-access daycare without custom training is also available.

Day Tutoring is a mid-day training service where a trainer comes to the client’s home for 30 or 60-minute custom training and enrichment sessions. This program helps dogs develop impulse control, basic obedience, loose leash walking, field trip etiquette, and problem-solving skills. It’s designed to break up long days for dogs home alone.

Private Training is provided either in-person (within 20 miles of 77301) or virtually. Sessions include the whole family and all dogs in the home. It covers foundation skills like the Five Core Cues and addresses problematic behaviors such as jumping. Specialized packages are available for puppies (under 7 months) and juvenile/adult dogs (over 7 months), with options for CGC/PDA and Trick titles. Behavior Modification consults are 90 minutes for fear and aggression, working in conjunction with veterinarians.

Lodge n’ Learn is an immersive, all-inclusive 2, 3, or 4-week overnight training program conducted in the trainer’s home. Dogs receive daily and nightly training, focusing on the Five Core Cues (Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place) and structured socialization in small groups. In-home follow-up sessions are included.

Stay n’ Study is specifically for Approved Shelter & Rescue Partners. It’s an all-inclusive 2, 3, or 4-week board & train system providing custom behavior support and foundation training in the Five Core Cues. It aims to boost awareness of adoptable dogs, reduce intake/return rates, and help shelter dogs acclimate to home environments. Each dog receives a comprehensive behavior report, detailed study guide, instructional videos, and a lifetime support guarantee.

Group Classes & Workshops are currently on hold. These include opportunities for puppy packages, CGC prep, house manners, conditioned relaxation, leash skills, tricks, support tasks, and retrieving.

Pricing Summary

Dayschool offers monthly memberships at $250/month for 1 day/week, $745/month for 3 days/week, and an unlimited option (details upon request). Solo full days are $70, with activity add-ons at $15 each. Package options include Three-Day Pack for $199, Five-Day Pack for $299, and Ten-Day Pack for $599.

Day Tutoring includes a $75 Meet & Greet. A 5-pack of 30-minute sessions is $375, and a 5-pack of 60-minute sessions is $600, with a 10% discount for multiple dogs. A 10% cancellation fee applies for cancellations within 48 hours.

Lodge n’ Learn packages start at $1595 for a 2-week Basic program. Private Training offers a Solo In-Person Session for $155 and a Solo Virtual Session for $95. Package options include Cultured Canine Companion (6 sessions) for $675, Smart Start Puppy (6 sessions) for $650, and Platinum Puppy (9 sessions) for $995. Behavior Modification consults are $195 for 90 minutes. Select private training packages include a 10% discount on future boarding or training services.

Policies

For cancellations within 48 hours of reservation, a 10% cancellation fee will apply. Exceptions are made for inclement weather or illness. If a session is cancelled by The Diligent Dog, clients will be credited or refunded any unused portion of their package if rescheduling is not possible.

How to Get Started!

New clients can begin by completing an enrollment form for their pup. For Lodge n’ Learn, there’s a two-step process: New Pup Enrollment followed by a Lodge n’ Learn Request. For Private Training, clients can submit a New Clients form and then a Private Training Request. Day Tutoring requires a $75 in-person Meet & Greet for informational and conditioning introduction for new pups.
