Pricing & Policies

Pricing Summary

The Dogs’ Spot has a strict refund policy: no refunds are issued with less than 14 days notice prior to class. Enrollment fees can be transferred to a future class or private training with at least 14 days notice via email.

For private lessons, schedule changes require at least 48 hours notice, otherwise a charge of 50% of the lesson fee may apply. Notifications for rescheduling or canceling private sessions must be sent via email. A special 30-minute private make-up session is available at a discounted rate for current students who miss a class, provided it’s booked no later than 2 weeks after the last scheduled class.

Policies

The Dogs’ Spot has several policies to ensure a safe and effective training environment. For weather-related closures, decisions are based on local road conditions, with notifications sent via email at least two hours prior to class. Cancelled classes are extended by one week, and private sessions are rescheduled.

Other cancellations due to instructor illness or emergencies are communicated via email, and students are not charged. For student cancellations, no refunds are issued with less than 14 days notice, but transfers to future classes or private training are possible with 14 days notice. Private lesson changes require 48 hours notice to avoid a 50% fee.

Children under 7 years old require an extra adult in attendance during group classes. Children aged 7-11 years may observe and assist with instructor approval, while those 12-15 years may handle a dog with an adult present at the instructor’s discretion. All children must stay with parents, ask permission before approaching dogs, and walk inside the facility.

Dogs must be up-to-date on veterinarian-recommended vaccinations or titers. Puppies need at least one set of vaccinations seven days prior to starting classes and must remain current. Ill dogs are not permitted in class, but owners may attend without their dog. Intact dogs are allowed, and females in season may attend wearing britches. Dogs displaying aggressive or highly reactive behavior are generally not suitable for regular group classes but may be accommodated in Reactive Dog classes or private sessions. Dogs with a human bite history requiring medical attention are not allowed, with specific exceptions for puppy biting, resource guarding, breaking up fights, or bites during vet/grooming procedures, which must be disclosed upon booking. The facility may provide referrals to canine behaviorists if needed.
