The Handsome Hounds

The Handsome Hounds offers several training programs. Group classes are limited to 4 dogs and require registration. These include Indoor Socialization for reactive dogs to learn neutrality and communication, Play Group for social dogs to engage in play and mental stimulation, Confidence Building which is a 4-week introductory agility class, and Basic Obedience, a 4-week class covering commands like Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place, and marker training.

Private Lessons are available at their training center or at your home, tailored to address specific behavior issues, basic obedience, or tricks. An evaluation is required for all new private lesson clients.

Pack Walks are structured group walks designed for reactive dogs to learn to be neutral around people and other dogs in public settings. These walks also focus on handling skills and mental stimulation, costing $10 per dog, with proceeds benefiting dog rescue.

Pricing Summary

Group classes are priced at $20 for Indoor Socialization and Play Group. Confidence building and Basic Obedience classes are $200 each for 4 consecutive weeks. Private lessons at their training center cost $50 for 30 minutes and $100 for 60 minutes. At-home private lessons are $100+ for a 1-hour minimum. Pack walks are $10 per dog, with all proceeds supporting dog rescue efforts.

Accomplishments

Andrew (Vinny) Stocks is a U.S. Marine Corps Combat Veteran. He holds a certificate from AK9I as a patrol/detection dog trainer and is an official AKC evaluator/trainer. He has extensive experience, having grown up raising hunting dogs and working with police K9s. Andrew has also volunteered many hours at the Humane Society and, with his wife Mo, is involved in dog rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
