The Modern K9 offers specialized board and train programs as well as private lessons, custom-tailored to each dog’s needs. Dogs stay in the trainers’ home with their family, ensuring continuous, day-and-night training without the use of kennel facilities.
Their Puppy Program (8-15 weeks) is a 2-week board and train focusing on foundational skills like crate training, exposure, socialization, marker training, place, focus/engagement, sit/down/stay. It includes private lessons post-stay and a final training session at 7-8 months of age. The 2 Week On-Leash Program is for social, young adult or older dogs, teaching loose leash walking, place (with an included elevated dog bed), sit, down, stay (reliable with distractions), and addressing jumping, nipping, and nuisance barking.
The 4 Week Off-leash Program is their most advanced offering, designed for off-leash freedom and control in any environment. They also provide a Reactivity Program, lasting 3-6 weeks depending on evaluation, specifically for rehabbing dogs with leash reactivity.
