Testimonials
I was looking for someone to assist me with training my Psychiatric Service Dog on the heels of a truly heinous experience with my first service dog. I turned to friends and my PSDs puppy trainers for recommendations since I wanted a trusted referral.
I contacted the group several times before hearing back from Shari (owner) and we made arrangements for a consultation. The sales pitch sounded good and I got to meet the trainer I’d be working with. We made arrangements for first lesson and everything was good and a second lesson followed. When reaching out to make a third appointment, the trainer said Shari would be in touch.
I never heard back, despite keeping in touch to schedule and also notify of a personal emergency and when I’d be next available.
I made the choice to end the relationship with Paws Training after lack of communication. Due to the nature of the training I was looking for it was necessary to find a new training program for service work.
In addition, some of the policies and training explanations provided re: Service Dog training and public access didn’t sit well with me – for example allowing SD on bench seats in restaurants.
The pricing seems too good to be true for something as intense as SD training and I quickly discovered it was. You get what you pay for and in this case, it was far from a good deal.

Shari is a wonderful, knowledgeable dog trainer. She has helped me work through my dogs issues.

I have been getting dog training for what started out with a very vocal hyper puppy that was my first puppy. Over the four years she became the den mom, my service dog and earned 3 titles. This dog has come full circle. Plus the environment that the paws training group creates sets you up for success.

About the Trainer

Some clients have seen their dogs earn titles and become certified service dogs through their programs.
The business has been criticized for poor communication, with multiple reviewers reporting unreturned calls and messages after initial consultations. One client ended their relationship due to lack of follow-up during a personal emergency.
