The Pet Agency offers customized, individualized, force-free, positive reinforcement, non-confrontational, and reward-based dog training and behavioral consults. Training is available at the client’s home, public parks, or other convenient locations. The training method is founded on evidence-based concepts from a Master of Science degree in Human and Canine Life Sciences and Fear Free training principles.

Programs include Behavioral Issues Assessment/Training, General Dog Handling/Management Training (leash training, elimination training, crate habituation, basic commands like sit, wait, come, walk, drop it, leave it, take it, watch me), and Specialized Training Categories such as puppy socialization, agility training, scent work, and service/therapy dog training. Telephone training appointments are also available. Puppy Preschool Class is offered for puppies 7-12 weeks of age with up-to-date vaccines and veterinary health clearance. Training outcomes vary based on the dog’s issues, history, health, temperament, and owner consistency. A full veterinary exam is recommended for behavioral issues before training begins. A brief training agreement is required prior to starting any sessions.

Pricing Summary

In-person training sessions are priced between $150-$350 for 1-1.5 hours. Phone training is $60 for 30 minutes and $120 for 60 minutes. Dog walking services are $60 for 30 minutes and $120 for 60 minutes. Prices for in-person training vary based on the severity and number of dog issues, number of dogs/people involved, preparation, research, planning, and follow-up required, as well as the types of training requested or combined. Travel fees apply for locations beyond Carmichael and Fair Oaks.

To get started, dog owners can call or text 916-968-3111 for more information about pet care services or to set up an appointment. For behavioral issues, a full veterinary exam is recommended prior to starting training to rule out any underlying medical conditions. Once an appointment is set, a training agreement will be sent electronically for review and approval.
