The Stellar Dog offers programs designed to allow clients to choose the level of direct help and trainer time with their dog. All training occurs in the client’s home and specific environments where the dog struggles, with the owner included throughout the process. The duration of training can range from 2 weeks to several months, depending on the program and client availability, with day training sessions available for quicker results. Specialized training instructions and resources are included with all programs.
The “Bark to Basics” program consists of 3 in-home training sessions, including a 90-minute Meet and Greet. It focuses on immediate skills and strategies for issues like house soiling, inappropriate chewing, excessive barking, jumping, nipping, and leash pulling, teaching commands such as name, sit, down, target, no, off, and drop it.
The “All Star Student” program includes 7 sessions conducted in the client’s home and surrounding neighborhood, starting with a 90-minute Meet and Greet. This program aims to train a well-behaved dog that reliably responds to cues like sit, down, stay, off, leave it, let’s go, come, and place, even around distractions. It includes 6 months of free email and phone support.
The “Bow Wow Bootcamp” is an intensive 15-session program, typically completed in 6 to 8 weeks, taking place in the home, neighborhood, and public places. It combines day training (1:1 with the dog) and private “together” sessions. This program includes a 90-minute Meet and Greet, specialized instructions, a treat bag, a long leash, and unlimited free email and phone support for 1 year. Dogs learn to listen reliably on and off-leash to commands such as sit, down, stay, off, leave it, heel, come, and place, and to be calm in busy and distracting environments.
Testimonials
“Our experience with The Stellar Dog was beyond incredible! Megan’s methods were not only effective in teaching Stella obedience commands but also in instilling confidence in us as dog owners. Thanks to The Stellar Dog and Megan’s exceptional skills, Stella has transformed into a well-behaved and happy pup! Thank you, Megan, and The Stellar Dog team, for making a remarkable difference in Stella’s life and ours!”

“[Our two Shi-Poo puppies] were beginning to show some naughty behaviors that we needed help on, such as: barking at the front door, jumping on visitors, walking (or should we say “dragging” on the leash!), socialization with humans + dogs, and basic all around obedience. We [immediately] knew we found the right trainer! [We] highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a trainer who is compassionate and helps the humans learn as much as the puppies learn!”

“It is refreshing to see how well behaved our fur baby can be.Our dog…was somewhat leash aggressive, pulled constantly on walks, and greeted people by jumping on them. Megan solved all of these and more.In addition, Megan makes everyone feel comfortable in the process. She listens and personalizes the lessons to your needs. Would recommend [The Stellar Dog] to ALL!”

About the Trainer
The Stellar Dog, LLC is a dog training business that believes dogs should be a source of joy, not stress. Their mission is to ensure your dog is a positive part of your life, helping pet owners enjoy a happier and stress-free life with their dogs. They specialize in training pet dogs to become well-behaved, loving companions.
The business offers customized, in-home training plans, emphasizing that dogs are never too old or too young to start training. The Stellar Dog provides private, at-home dog training, coming to the client for meet and greets, day training, and human-coaching sessions to make the process easy. They aim for dogs to learn more and be better behaved in a shorter amount of time, progressing faster than in group classes.
Their programs are designed to work in the client’s home and specific environments where the dog struggles, with the owner included every step of the way. All programs include specialized training instructions and resources to reduce stress for both the dog and owner.
