Discover Your Dog! offers science-proven, evidence-based, and relationship-based behavioral modification and training. Their process begins by identifying the root cause of unwanted behaviors to create a comprehensive, tailored program for each dog and owner. Relationship building is a core philosophy, aiming to improve communication and build owner confidence.
Programs include Group Classes, Private Sessions, and DayCamp. DayCamp is an enhanced daycare model, structured and enrichment-intensive, featuring activities like nature hiking, beach walks, mental enrichment games, and small group play. It focuses on mental and physical exercise, offering one-on-one time with staff for dogs not suited for group play or seniors. DaySchool is available for dogs with more serious issues towards other dogs, incorporating some Camp time.
For DayCamp and DaySchool, all dogs must be up to date on required vaccines and tests, including Distemper combo (every 3 yrs or titer), Rabies (every 3 yrs for dogs over 1 yr), Bordetella (yearly, 6 months recommended), negative fecal test (annually), negative Heartworm test (annually), and must be on flea prevention. Puppy camp requires age-appropriate vaccines. Single day reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, with no drop-ins, and regularly scheduled days are highly recommended for space availability.
