Testimonials
Donna Anderson is an excellent dog trainer. She was easy to work with and allowed for a flexible schedule. She found out what our goals for training were and we worked from that point. Donna is a caring, loving dog owner and trainer who through her kindness and patience taught me how to communicate with my Doberman . We enjoyed our training sessions with her. Although you will certainly have ups and downs while training your dog we came away each week with a sense that we accomplished something. Maxwell and I trained over a period of one year and we successfully accomplished our goals . I can take my dog everywhere ,we get many compliments on how well behaved he is . I give credit to his training to Timber Trail Canine Training..

We bought our now 1year old golden from Donna last September. The whole process was amazing. This was our first dog and when he was ready to be trained, Donna was awesome. She came to our house every Sunday, yes on a Sunday, for 6 weeks to do the puppy training. After the 6 weeks was over we loved the results so much, as well as Donna that we did the next training program and Donna came to the house again on a Sunday for another 6 weeks. We also did public training where Donna would meet us at tractor supply and we had our sessions there. She was always on time and our dog Bruno is very well behaved and we get a lot of compliments on it. Donna was very reasonably priced and who else do you know that would travel almost an hour to train your puppy? I recommend Donna to everyone and still keep in touch with her till this day. If you are looking for a great trainer and breeder, look no further because Donna is it.

In January we acquired a relative’s 3 year old Airedale, Rosie. Rosie was not completely housebroken, was very dominant with our other 2 dogs and was afraid to be outside. I (Penny) checked into dog trainers in the area, and Donna/Timber Trails Canine Training came up in my search. Donna came to our house once a week for four weeks. I am thrilled to say that Rosie now knows the basic obedience commands AND appears to be housebroken! It has been 2 1/2 weeks since she has pooped in the house! Donna has given us tips to address the dominance issues and to build up Rosie’s confidence in being outside. Donna was very professional and always used positive re-enforcement in the training lessons.
We realize it is now up to us to continue what Donna has started. We are happy that Donna has helped us, and that Rosie is a much better dog now.
We enthusiastically endorse Donna and highly recommend her for not only training, but for behavioral issues. Patience and practice on the part of the owners is critical.

Brought 10 mo old golden who had been to one trainer for resource guarding but was having growling issues with my 9 mo old lab. Was told Donna worked with trainers and had dealt extensively with dog reactivity. Every day she wrote to me saying she took my dog to the store, taught her to sit.. my kids and I did that! Called my dog by the wrong name the whole time she was there, then returned her to us two days early.. got 3 videos when promised daily ones and pix .. wrote up a plan talk g about how we used prong collars (never said that or used one on her) , shock collars (a trainer shocked her one time), yelled at me and insulted me, trashed another trainer we had used.. continues to insult me with nasty texts because I left an unfavorable review.. talked to my vet and a canine behaviorist about her because my dog was returned shaking and peeing in the house which were not happening prior .. and they told me she was not a behaviorist and didn’t know what she was doing. She may be a good dog trainer for basic commands but the fact that she took 500 dollars and in her typed plan still got my dogs name wrong, is continuing to trash other trainers and totally made up what I told her about aversive treatment (one shock once) floors me. My dog won’t leave my side now because she’s so shaken up.

However, one client reported negative experiences including misrepresentation of training methods, incorrect dog name usage, unfulfilled video promises, and verbal hostility after a review was left. This client also noted their dog became anxious and exhibited new behaviors post-training, prompting concern from a veterinarian and canine behaviorist.
