Top Gun Retrieverz

Top Gun Retrieverz specializes in breeding and training high-quality Labrador Retrievers, primarily focusing on developing gundogs for hunt tests and field trials. They emphasize health clearances for their breeding dogs, including OFA certifications for hips, elbows, and eyes, as well as genetic clearances for EIC and CNM.

Their dogs are described as intelligent, biddable, and amateur-friendly, with a strong desire to please. The owner’s passion for dog training began in 1996, and all their dogs are raised as part of the family, spending time both in a kennel on their 8-acre property and inside the home.

While their ‘Training’ page is currently under construction, their expertise is demonstrated through the accomplishments of their own dogs in competitive events.

Accomplishments

Top Gun Retrieverz aims to breed and train high-quality Labrador Retrievers, focusing on health clearances (OFA Hips, Elbows, Eyes, EIC, CNM) and strong pedigrees. The owner began training in 1996.

Their dogs have achieved significant titles: Oakley is a Master Hunter (MH) who Junior titled before one year, Senior titled at one year, and Master titled at three, qualifying for the Master National at four. She was handled by the owner’s daughter in Junior and Senior tests. Ruby, Oakley’s full sister, Senior titled at 14 months and has Master passes, with plans for a QA2 title.

Their deceased sire, Cougar, held Master Hunter (MH) and Qualified All Age (QAA) status and was a proven producer of titled gundogs. Drake, a stud they use, is an AFC QA2 dog, earned 28 derby points, qualified all age at two, accumulated 42 all-age points, and was ranked number 3 Amateur dog in the nation in 2022.
