About the Trainer

Touch & Go Agility Training Center is a premier agility training school located in the Sacramento area, owned and operated by Katherine Leggett. The center caters to serious agility enthusiasts and anyone interested in training for competition.

Their philosophy emphasizes building a solid foundation of basic skills using positive training techniques and emphasizing play. They focus on developing a great relationship between the handler and their dog, where the handler is the ultimate reward and agility becomes a fun game.

Touch & Go Agility provides weekly agility training for nearly 100 students and hosts seminars and workshops with popular instructors throughout the year. They also offer their agility field for rent to students for practice.

The school’s curriculum is focused on building strong dog training skills to enable students to excel in the agility ring. They require certain obedience standards for group agility classes above the foundation level, including sit, 30-second sit stay, down, 30-second down stay, and reliable recall with distractions. Dogs aggressive to people or other dogs, or excessively shy dogs, are not accepted for agility training.
