About the Trainer
Trademark Kennels, also known as Trademark Dog Academy & AKC Breeder, began in 2012 as a hobby breeding quality German Shepherds, continuing bloodlines from the family business, Bar-Ben Kennels, which started in 1978. Their breeding program has excelled in the AKC show and performance industry, producing German Shepherds with great health, temperaments, and beauty, ideal as family companions.
While breeding is a hobby, their primary passion is working with dogs and helping others through training. They offer “Fusion Training,” which they describe as the future of dog and owner training, emphasizing a balanced approach rather than limiting to one type of training. This approach aims to create well-rounded canine citizens.
Trademark Kennels provides cohesive programs designed to meet demanding schedules and offers resources for continued education, including videos and ongoing learning. In addition to training, they offer boarding services, providing a safe and clean place for dogs while owners are away.
Accomplishments
The trainer has over 30 years of experience. Accomplishments include being an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, AKC STAR Puppy Instructor, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. They are also a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and a board member of the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club.
Additional achievements include being an AKC Breeder of Merit, having a Top 5 GSD in the country, and being an AKC National Dog Show Obedience Invitational Recipient. The trainer has also served as a 4H State fair Rally Obedience Judge and an Australian Shepherd Match Judge.
