Training Tails offers three main professional dog training programs. One-on-One Training spans 5 weeks with approximately one-hour sessions per week, focusing on hands-on techniques tailored to specific goals and the dog’s needs, covering basic obedience commands like “sit, stay, place, and come,” calm leash walking, and minor behavioral issues. The first session includes consultation, assessment, and hands-on training.

The Board & Train program is a 3-week intensive program where the dog stays at the training facility, providing a comprehensive environment that accelerates learning. This program offers dedicated one-on-one training, care, and attention to establish routines and reinforce new behaviors, and is beneficial for addressing specific behavioral issues. It includes an extended checkout and review session upon pickup, plus two follow-up sessions.

Day School (No Overnight) is a 5-week program, with training one day per week. This program allows professional trainers to work with the dog during the day while the dog returns home at night, serving as an alternative for busy owners or those overwhelmed by training. It includes personal one-on-one training sessions, offsite training, walks, socialization, quiet time, and playtime, exposing dogs to real-life distractions for effective training, especially leash work.

Testimonials

“Reaching out to Training Tails was the best decision I ever made! I never grew up with a dog, let alone a puppy, and Tom and his staff were so patient, supportive, and matter of fact, with my kids and me. I feel so much more confident being a dog mom now than I did 6 weeks ago. I am looking forward to returning when Korra is old enough to be my running partner for off-leash training!”
– Christine McGrath McDermott

“I just wanted to share that and share my appreciation and thankfulness for your training expertise. I wouldn’t be comfortable doing the things I can do with King if it wasn’t for Training Tails. I recommend you all the time.
Thank you for training that allows my dog to be a dog and live his best life.”
– Maria T.

“Making the decision to take your dog to training is absolutely the best one you will ever make if you choose Training Tails! Tom has been a Godsend in training me to be a better dog owner. He has helped us achieve so much in just a few short weeks! Cooper is becoming the pup we have always wanted with the help of Tom!”

How to Get Started!

To get started with Doggie Daycare, dogs must be 12 weeks or older, spayed or neutered if 7 months or older, and current on all shots (DHLPP, BORDATELLA, PARVO, RABIES). They must also be on a flea and tick program (no powders), have a quick-release collar, and pass an Evaluation Test. All dogs are screened for health, vaccinations, flea/tick treatment, and temperament to ensure compatibility.

For dog training, clients can book an evaluation or complete a contact form online, or call the business directly. A non-refundable deposit is required when scheduling the first training session or day.
