Tranquil Dog Training

We couldn’t have asked for a better trainer! Sam helped immensely with the transition of our 5 yr old pitt mix into our home! She taught us dog language and all the tools to help our anxious/insecure boy to be confident and trust us. This way we can do fun activities with him and give direction in moments where in the past he’d feel threatened/fearful! She even gave super helpful pointers for our second dog that is completely different from our other being a corgi/cattle dog mix! Sam has a refreshing amount of knowledge with sooo much experience, I know you could absolutely trust her with any type of pup!.

We enrolled in the *Ultimate 3-60 Training* program through Tranquil, which included a series of private training sessions spread over approximately two months. The program also provided the necessary tools to support our dog’s training journey. Sessions were held in various environments to help our pup adapt to different settings and stimuli. Throughout the process, the Tranquil team was consistently available to answer questions and was extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling and meeting locations. On several occasions, we even brought our children along–and that was never an issue.

A bit of background: After having two wonderful dogs for over a decade, we were without a dog for two years. When we decided it was time to welcome a new four-legged member to our family, we wanted to ensure we had the right foundation to support a smooth transition. Before we committed to the program, the Tranquil team patiently answered all of our questions and helped us feel confident in our decision.

As many others have shared, Tranquil does more than train your dog–they equip your entire family with the tools, mindset, and understanding necessary for long-term success. While obedience in the moment is valuable, it’s the consistency after the sessions that truly determines progress. Much like reading daily with your child can create lasting impact, just 15 minutes of daily training with your dog can reinforce and solidify the skills learned through the program.

The trainers also showed great sensitivity to family dynamics. We worked closely with Chris, who even involved our five-year-old in learning basic commands. During a few high-distraction sessions–such as in local stores–Chris went above and beyond by pushing our child in a shopping cart so we could focus entirely on the training.

We’re proud to share that our 6-month-old pup, Marshmallow, has officially completed the program. A follow-up session is scheduled in the coming weeks to ensure we’re continuing on the right path. I brought my dog Bill to Tranquil because he had stranger aggression. I chose to go with their Serenity Stay program. Upon drop off, I was sure they would be calling me right back because they would be unable to get close enough to effectively work with him. He was so angry when I left him. Sam assured me with time and patience she would be able to work with him. Less than 24 hrs later, she had been able to make friends with my boy. His training took a little longer than most dogs they work with because it’s important to them to build a good and trusted relationship with your pet before getting serious about any issues that need work. I can honestly say that Bill is a different dog. Tranquil has given me the tools to continue to give Bill his best life! I no longer have to be afraid to have him out in public.
