Christine Ferris, the founder, is an author, speaker, and Canine Leadership Trainer who established the business in 2014. Her inspiration came from her dog, Trustee, who overcame aggression through trust-based training principles. Christine is also a John Maxwell Certified trainer, speaker, and coach, and in 2024, she released her book, “Lessons from Lad: What My Dog Taught Me About Life, Love, Leadership, and Loss.”

The training team includes David Ferris, an Assistant Canine Leadership Trainer and IT Specialist, who helps handlers and creates video resources. The canine team members are Trustee, the mascot and mentor, a highly trained therapy dog with titles in advanced obedience, agility, directional work, and search and rescue; and Legend, a member of the Trustee Service Troupe with multiple obedience titles.

Accomplishments

Their dog, Trustee, holds BH High Point Winner and AKC Canine Good Citizen titles and has served as a certified therapy dog. Another dog, Legend, has achieved UKC Socialized Pet Obedience (SPOT), AKC Canine Good Citizen, and AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen titles, and is a member of the Trustee Service Troupe. Their late dog, Trouper, served as a Reading Buddy and Therapy Dog in Concord Community Schools and as a crisis response canine for HOPE Animal Assisted Crisis Response.
