Testimonials

When my dog and I went for a consult with Fernando we had already tried Sit Means Sit for a 3 week board and train. They told me that they “couldn’t fix” my dog and he wasn’t trainable. After I got him back from Sit Means Sit he was worse and he developed pretty severe dog aggression.

Fernando took the time to get to know my dog and teach me how to communicate effectively with him. We have had 4 sessions so far and the difference in how my dog reacts is such a huge improvement. He is starting to be able to get close to other dogs, he obeys commands, and walks on a leash, and he has confidence for the first time ever.

Fernando is also great with communication outside of sessions and is available whenever I have questions or I can send a video so he can help me with what I can improve on.

I would recommend Fernando and Two Tails Training to anyone.
– Chelsea Davis

Fernando is hands down the best dog trainer I’ve ever came into contact with. I’ve never met somebody who can communicate with dogs as well as he can. It’s really something special. He doesn’t only train the dogs but really reaches the owners how to communicate with the dogs on their own. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed at training your own dog. My 3 dogs have done a total 180 at home as well as in public. Aside from my own, I’ve seen the incredible work Fernando and his team have done with other dogs and I’m always amazed. Owners who think their dogs are beyond repair and are unbelieving that their dogs can change are always mind blown and forever grateful for his work and I would refer him to ANYONE looking for a dog trainer, regardless of breed or size or behavior. Fernando can do it all!
– GIANNA GIORDANO

If you want to improve your relationship and your communication with your dog, it’s simple, hire Fernando. This is someone that genuinely cares about the well-being of your dog and wants to improve their quality of life. You could hire a large “well-known” brand where your dog will be another number on the to-do list, or you could hire a local, trusted and reputable business owner that is going to love your dog and go out of his way to text/communicate with you to make sure you are learning everything you need to know to get all the value out of this program. From video analysis to scheduling, he puts in the time to set you up for success, if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s easy to make finances an excuse for not following through on something like one-on-one training, but I can tell you as someone that has no “extra income” to go around I will never regret the decision to invest in my dog and knowledge of being a good dog owner. It’s worth every penny.

About the Trainer

Two Tails Training is a locally owned dog training business based in greater Colorado Springs, specializing in personalized, no-nonsense training for dogs with behavioral challenges. They focus on aggression and anxiety rehabilitation, helping dogs that are reactive, fearful, or aggressive toward people or other animals. Their lead trainer, Fernando, emphasizes building confidence in dogs while teaching owners how to communicate effectively and consistently. Services include basic and high obedience training, leash walking improvement, and protection work consultations for young dogs. They offer one-on-one sessions with unlimited support between appointments via text, calls, or video reviews. They do not turn away any dog based on severity of behavior and use a mini educator e-collar for aggressive cases, along with basket muzzles when required. Their approach is hands-on, accountability-driven, and focused on long-term results through owner education.

They provide services in-home and at their facility, with no group classes offered. Clients report dramatic improvements in dogs previously deemed “untrainable” by other trainers, with many noting restored confidence, improved leash manners, and the ability to safely go out in public again. They also sell training equipment like basket muzzles and e-collars through their site.

Two Tails Training stands out for their commitment to working with high-risk cases, their transparent communication, and their emphasis on empowering owners rather than just training the dog.

Accomplishments

Two Tails Training is recognized as a leader in aggression and anxiety rehabilitation in Colorado, with numerous client testimonials highlighting successful outcomes for dogs deemed “untrainable” by other providers. They do not turn away any dog based on severity of behavior.
