University K9 offers a 2-week (14-night) Board and Train Program designed to teach basic obedience commands such as Come, Sit, Place, Wait, Off, and Quiet. During this period, dogs also master on-leash walking and off-leash recall without fences. The program aims to foster socialization with other dogs and people, establish predictable schedules, build confidence, and help re-establish hierarchy at home, all conducted by a professional trainer.
For dogs requiring behavior modification, the program addresses issues like jumping, pulling, bolting, aggression, barking, scratching, chewing, running away, and potty training. The training method combines on-leash training, off-leash training, and treat training to ensure a well-rounded, confident dog with an expectation of obedience.
Beyond training, University K9 provides overnight boarding at $45 per night and doggie daycare at $35 per day (8 AM – 5 PM). Their facility features luxury kennels (4 ft by 6 ft) equipped with Kuranda beds, in-floor trench drains, food and water dishes, finished floors, video surveillance, and daily cleaning. An air exchange system ensures fresh air circulation every 20 minutes. They also offer climate-controlled indoor play areas with natural light, tiled walls, and large running spaces, alongside outdoor play areas that are covered, fenced, and utilize Astro Turf or natural cedar chips for exercise and bathroom use.
