Dog Training Methodology
The Upper Snake River Valley Dog Training Club offers classes in STAR Puppy, Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Scent Work, Rally, and Trick Dog. Training is available for both club members and non-members. The club also conducts official AKC Obedience Trials, Tracking Tests, and Agility Trials annually in August and September.
About the Trainer
The Upper Snake River Valley Dog Training Club (USRVDTC) is an all-breed dog club located in Eastern Idaho. Established in 1952 as a nonprofit organization, its primary objective is to promote dog training and conduct obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club (AKC).
The USRVDTC is one of three AKC member obedience clubs in Idaho and conducts official AKC Obedience Trials, Tracking Tests, and Agility Trials. They instituted Idaho’s first Obedience Trial in 1956 and the first Tracking Test in 1961, continuing to hold these events in the Idaho Falls area annually in August and September.
Training classes are available to both members and non-members. The club serves the community throughout Eastern Idaho, with members in Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, Shelley, Swan Valley, Rexburg, and other nearby locations. Mixed-breed dogs are eligible to participate in AKC-affiliated competitions and programs through the club.
