Upward Dog Training & Counseling offers initial consultations and session packages. The initial consultation is required for dogs with fearful or behavioral issues and is also recommended for new puppies, lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
Training programs address a variety of needs including shy and fearful dogs, puppy training and socialization, manners training (sit, down, stay, come when called, leave it, loose leash walking, attention), and problem behaviors such as chewing, jumping, mouthing, potty accidents, and resource guarding. The training approach is force-free.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
An Initial Consultation costs $195 and lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
Packages include a 3-Session Package for $450 and a 6-Session Package for $800.
Combined options are also available: Consult + 3 Sessions for $550, and Consult + 6 Sessions for $900.
Additional individual sessions can be purchased as needed.

Gallivan Burwell is a graduate of the renowned Academy for Dog Trainers in San Francisco, and the only trainer in New Orleans to have attained the “Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed” and “Certified Behavior Counselor Canine -Knowledge Assessed” credentials from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. He has trained thousands of dogs without using force or fear. He specializes in force-free dog training and behavior adjustment, particularly for shy and fearful dogs.
